![]() The original plan was to have the Colorado spring wedding ceremony outside on Wedgewood Black Forest’s patio, overlooking all the evergreen and spruce trees. The weeks leading up to their wedding, of course, the weather was showing a teenie bit of overcast, but nothing to write home about. And of course the week leading up to the wedding, all the flurries and chilly temps broke loose. Here’s the amazing, rad, and totally awesome silver-lining to it all, though… The ‘big’ day had finally arrived, and guess what Colorado had in store for us? Basically a mini blizzard! Huzzah! Quite the opposite of Lindsay + Keith’s sweet fall engagement. Lindsay + Keith COMPLETELY embraced the elements of their Colorado spring wedding day! Say what?! We had communicated throughout the whole planning process, and kept our fingers crossed to avail. And in the end, however, the weather didn’t matter. The fact that we did the ceremony inside didn’t matter. And then Jurassic park started to play.In fact, the only thing that mattered was that these sweet human beings made a commitment to each other.Because you gotta macarena with you buddy.Dan TOTALLY cut in, I was dying laughing!.In the midst of the HIGH chances of rain…we had sunlight at the right time.First kiss from behind the couple…makes me happy every time!.When the doors opened, you could feel such a presence of God.I pray my kids will love each other this well. One of my favorite things in editing was looking over the close dynamic of these siblings. No grooms were injured in the making of this photo. ROWDY, they are ROWDY! The groomsmen hadn’t met before the wedding weekend and became fast, fast friends. We brought the bridal party up and a party started.Dan has this smile that only comes out for Kristen.Kristen’s best friend and now sister in law! (That’ll make you go-awwwww!).Dan’s guys are potentially the funniest I’ve ever met.Kristen picked out plaid shirts for each girl specifically.Kristens mom has my photographer heart, just saying. They rented a beautiful house so everyone could spend time together in the prep.Just saying.ĭan & Kristen, I wish I could go back and do the day all over again simply because it was so great! I’m so happy for you both, Congratulations!!!Īll Rights Reserved, Copyright Ann Photography, 2019įlowers: Dawn from Hillside Consultants, Inc ![]() And, after the dance party started one of Kristen’s 4 brothers & a friend made an entrance to Jurassic park while wearing T-rex costumes. Carefully chosen gifts, thinking of others in every way possible, and spotting people to hug even on the way out of their grand exit were special. The details went deep into caring for people, and that was so beautiful to see. ![]() Kristen has an incredible eye for detail, and the wedding colors of purple in shades was as classy as you can get. And you know what, in the midst of what was forecasted as super cold and snowy, we had a beautiful day with only moments of snow kiss. I think we were all praying about the weather! Well, Kristen felt like the Lord had told her not to worry about it. Dan & Kristen’s end of March 24th was smack dab in the middle of predicted snow, rain, and cold. Colorado’s winter went deep and wide into the spring this year, into MAY in fact. ❤ Their Awesome Colorado Springs Wedding at Wedgewood Black ForestĪs a Colorado wedding photographer with the season starting in February, I can tell you I’ve been watching the weather like a hawk. (Check them out here) Getting to join in this family celebrating the marriage of their children has been such an honor. I had the JOY of photographing Kristen’s Brother Daniel marrying his beautiful Bride, Mary, last summer. They are a match, the right type! You can read more of their story here, in their engagement blog. Yet, I’m so excited have yet another chance to tell you, they are absolutely wonderful! I’m so grateful as a wedding photographer that I truly have the BEST clients in the world, and Dan & Kristen are certainly a part of that! These two are kind, thoughtful, servant hearted, FUN, and deeply in love. I wrote in my previous blog of Dan & Kristen’s epic Ice Castle engagement session about what incredible people they are. ![]()
